Location - Where is the WAKAYAMA?
|
WAKAYAMA prefecture is located in west part of Japan. It is about 50km south of OSAKA and 400km west of TOKYO. WAKAYAMA is famous for historic site, hot springs and also food.
It takes around 40 minuits from KANSAI International Airport (KIX) by Limousine bus, train and also car to the WAKAYAMA MARINA CITY. And of course it is not very far from the Osaka international port. KYOTO is about two hours from WAKAYAMA by train.

WAKAYAMA MARINA CITY is like an independence leisure town by itself. It was built as the Japanfs first international resort on man-made island where includes marina, park, fisherman's wharf , hotels and other many attractions. See photo of WAKAYAMA MARINA CITY.

Transportation - Airport to WAKAYAMA
|
You can choose two way to WAKAYAMA, Limousine bus and Train. The taking the limousine bus is simpler and will be move comfortable, So We recommend you using Limousine bus.
(1)Limousine-bus from Kansai Airport to Wakayama Sta(East exit).
Buses leave from the 1st floor (Int'l Arr.) Tickets machines are outside the building.(1,000yen)
The bus for Wakayama depart from No. 3 bus stop every 30 minuets. It will take about 40 min.
(2')Local bus from Wakayama Sta.(West exit) to Wakayama Marina city
510yen. (departure every 30 min.) No.1 bus stop Route 42 or 43.
(2'')TAXI from Wakayama Sta. to Wakayama Marina city
approx. 3,500yen.
The changing at Wakayama Sta. is a little difficult. The limo-bus arrives at East exit but the local bus departs from West exit.
To get to the West exit from the East exit you have to go through a connecting tunnel.

Cost : 1030yen from Kansai Airport to Kainan Sta.
You have to change trains twice at Hineno Sta. and Wakayama Sta.
(The nearest station from Wakayama Marina city is Kainan Sta.)
(1)JR Kansai line from Kansai Airport to Hineno Sta. (about 15 min.)
(Not NANKAI Line)
(2)JR Hanwa line from Hineno to Wakayama Sta. (about 40 min.)
(3)JR Kisei line from Wakayama to Kainan Sta. (about 15min.)
(4')local bus from Kainan Sta. to Wakayama Marina city.(approx. 200yen.)
(4'')TAXI from Kainan Sta. to Wakayama Marina city.(approx. 1,500yen.)
